990.tax is an authorized IRS e-file provider offering an easy way to file your nonprofitโs tax return. We built it with small nonprofits in mind, based on personal experience and using best practices in the industry.
As parent volunteers on a school PTA board we were faced with a difficult and unintuitive process of filing taxes for our nonprofit organization. Form 990, even if it is 990-EZ, was intimidating, and the tools supposed to help you file both federal and state forms left a lot to be desired.
As engineers with a wealth of experience in building world-class products, we decided that we can do better, and put a team together to build a tax filing service for non-profits that will be easy to use and save time for volunteers and money for nonprofits.
Using 990.tax is the easiest way to file your nonprofit's tax returns online, including IRS Form 990-N, IRS Form 990-EZ, IRS Form 8868, and state forms, such as CA FTB Form 199, CA DOJ Forms RRF-1 and CT-TR-1.
