    "12d is a one stop Civil Design shop"

    Pros: It does everything from concept design, to processing received As Built Survey design. I have used it for Road & Rail, Bulk Earthworks, Utilities, Dredging, flood studies, Pavements for volume reporting, fencing, and it goes on.

    I never need to break up a project, for its ability to process information is still unmatched. For ezample can read in a survey, filter and refine it, if required, design, complete drainage analysis, stormwater drainage is automated and the industry leader still, then clash detection, then publish drawings, MTOs, volumes, Models for federated model packages, spreadsheet for attribution. Which can be automated using chains.

    The support is incredible, I know 3 of the support guys on a first name basis for they are willing to either help you with a problem or modify their software to whatever is required.

    Fully compatible with all file formats, including Trimble.
    12d use an open source language code which is freely given to packages wanting to publish information to and from it.

    Cons: Nothing, it's the best there is and I have used the other and continually get frustrated upon how they operate in comparison.

    Highly customisable.
    Variable licenses for cost reductions.
