Rating 4 stars due to virus warning on windows 11. Previous versions did not trigger threat warnings, specifically improved_PLUS_240314.exe. Devs, I haven't seen any comms from you regarding this threat detection, thoughts? I have uploaded this to the listed below to review for removal for possible false positives. Running the wide graph version 2.8.0 on Ubuntu 24 and a SunSDR2PRO and its working well. So glade to finally get TCI support for WSJT. Im currently running JTDX and WSJT via TCI on the same RX and no problems so far. It looks to be very stable. Tnx for all your work, well done. Roger ZL3RC

Super Fox is great BUT it needs to be modified to enable Hounds who are calling to both enter the call and report and enable the Superfox, ina single line, answer the call with the report and 73 so the QSO can be responded to and logged in one call by both Hound and Fox. I spent hours responding to VK9XU after they sent my report but never copied my report to be able to send a 73 so I would get in their log. This would save everyone hours of pain.

Thanks for taking the time to enhance WSJT-X Uwe. 73 de Terry

I love this program. Thank you for creating it. Looking forward to seeing what the future brings.

I use now since weeks the improved WSJT version. It’s a great software package due the work of dg2ycb. It run fast and reliable even on my old win7 32bit system. Normal FT8/4, F/H and SF are reliable decoded. Thank you dg2ycb for your work and effort to ensure the best performance…..and for your fast kind eMail replies. 73! Thomas, DG8FBV

The standard WSJT-X software is already an impressive achievement, but WSJT-X_Improved elevates it to a whole new level. The enhanced versions introduce additional functionality, alongside numerous refinements, optimizations, and customizations, addressing minor but occasionally frustrating quirks of the original program. WSJT-X_Improved isn’t just Freeware—it’s Awesome-ware! Furthermore, the developer, Uwe (DG2YCB), is exceptionally responsive to emails, generously sharing his expertise and time. His helpfulness and kindness are the epitome of ham radio fellowship. 73 (N4MNW).

This is a superb project loaded with excellent, well thought-out improvements and additions. I know this app represents a lot of hard work, and I want the developers to know that it's appreciated! Plain and simple -- this has greatly enhanced my enjoyment of the modes it supports, and I use it exclusively (including the different layouts to best use various devices and screen sizes). Thank you! 73 de N8ESP

The "Band Select" buttons are a feature I would never use and I find they add clutter to the screen. Making them selectable on/off through setup is recommended.Reply from wsjt-x_improved

YouTube reviewers are showing this software; it really looks like there are features I would like to use. However... I cannot download it as Chrome, FireFox, and ESET report it is infected with "pilotfiber" and as it is a threat is removed.Reply from wsjt-x_improved

Works great except for one problem. With the “non-improved” version I am able to size the windows by dragging the edges so that I can fit Call Roster from the GridTracker program on the same screen. While this version can be resized using the drag technique ot is apparently restricted in how much the size can be reduced. Too bad. Makes it unusable for my situation.Reply from wsjt-x_improved

Great software, like the additional features. I would like to really see the band select bar as was done in JTDX_improved.Reply from wsjt-x_improved

I love some of the user improvements, like right-click to change transmit frequency, and the new layout with a longer left-hand column is also welcome. WSJT-X_improved deals with a number of the user-interface problems that come from the original WSJT-X, and then adds new features to improve usability. In addition, _improved is actually more sensitive in some situations than the original program. Uwe is a true gentleman and clearly has the best interests of the hobby at heart. He continues to make improvements in the usability of WSJT-X. I had a problem caused by hamlib, not WSJT-X, but Uwe helped me fix it and explained how to prevent it from re-occurring. This was way beyond the call of duty.Reply from wsjt-x_improved

Promising project! I have had a Filter tab in my wishlist for long and now it is here. A brief description is needed. I have tried to use the filter but can't make QSO's when activated. Perhaps it is my fault. If I specify "RA" and activate the filter I don't see any RA-stations in the Band activity window but I also get problems to make any QSO's. Please advice.Reply from wsjt-x_improved
-
Congratulations on the good work. Until now I had always used JTDX while now I start to like your version of wsjt. Maybe it would be the best if one day you decide to include in the filters also the possibility of hiding one or more of the "ham" continents and displaying only the lotw stations. Congratulations again and already so thanks for the work done!

I found it to be a great application, but it's difficult to use with my small display because I can't reduce the width and height beyond a certain level. AL is too large in height and Widescreen is too large in width. Also, I gave up using it because it inherits the same stupid bug as WSJT-X. Thank you for adjusting the window size and supporting the band hopping function of the frequency peculiar to Japan.Reply from wsjt-x_improved

This is very much better than the original WSJTX. I am using the widescreen version and am very impressed. I do have two suggestions for feature improvements. Would it be possible to clear the band activity window automatically when the band is changed. Would it be possible to change the RX frequency to match the TX frequency after a QSO is completed . Thank you again for a wonderful program. The updated version is working wonderful.Reply from wsjt-x_improved

The word improved should be in all caps . . . there are massive improvements to the original WSJT-X. What's better is that DG2YCB's (Uwe) support is the best I've ever seen. For example, I saw a need for a small improvement. He agreed, made the changes to the program and Emailed me a link to the new version all the same day! Thanks Uwe. Bill - AA4M

The improvements make it much easyer to use the software and enable fast operation. It is a joy to use it.
