Wifi Remote Play

Wifi Remote Play is a remote control app for Android and Symbian (Nokia S60 5th edition smartphones or later), allowing you to control Media Player Classic (MPC) or VLC over a wireless network.

This software is completely free - no ads, or having to pay for extra features, unlike many competing players!

Also available from F Droid for Android.

Features

Play, pause, skip forwards/backwards through a track, jump to any point in the track, and jump to previous/next track.
Status shows current track, position, and length.
Volume control, and mute.
File browser to select new tracks or playlists.
Toggle between windowed and full screen mode.
Controls for DVD interface.
Ad-free!

I just loved this app, it's so useful. I just plug my notebook to my TV and set up a good movie playlist, it works like a perfect DVD controller.
