ViaVoip is a simple Voice Over IP application that can be used when you need to talk, chat, or send files through the internet, but you can't or don't want to make use of any third party services.

Its peer to peer design allows the two end points to connect directly to each other, without any central server nor account registration.

It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and Android, and is portable, that is you don't need any setup, just get a copy and run it from any storage device.

It is free and open source.

Please read the last post for updates before downloading: -> https://sourceforge.net/p/viavoip/blog/.

User Reviews

  • Lightweight, Effective, and Surprisingly Capable I’ve been using ViaVoip as a lightweight voice communication tool over LAN, and it’s been a helpful addition to my local setup. It does what it promises — lets you talk between devices without needing an internet connection or external servers. For that alone, it’s worth checking out if you’re after a simple, no-frills solution. The interface is minimal, and once you figure out the basics, it works reliably. I’ve used it for casual communication between a few machines on my network, and it’s held up well. Overall, it’s not life-changing, but it’s a solid little utility that fills a niche — and of course all users should appreciate that it’s free and open-source.
  • Thanks for the program under a free open source license!
