  • I've been using Unicenta flawlessly in several stores in Barcelona for over 2 years now, since version 4.6.3. I'm now installing version 5.2 in a new store. Hugh has always been great and fast at resolving all doubts I've posted the in the forum. It's a really great software, with a lot of room for customization.
  • Let's start with Paid vs Free. Paid is supposed to offer priority support. Well, there is no such thing. The support people need to refresh their memories on what support means; to serve as a foundation for. Let's not even discuss Priority, that doesnt exist either. The support people will make suggestions or point you to similar issues that they find in both theirs and this forum... they will not give you a resolution! Issues as old as 7+/- years remain in the application today, and any resolution to those issues are left to you the end-user to resolve. The support and development personnel have not and will not vet, verify or validate issues that are brought to their attention. If you have several days or weeks of investigating and troubleshooting to spare, go ahead and install it. Otherwise, don't walk away, run away from Unicenta and everything it represents. Not PoS (Point of Sale), but PoS (Piece of

Hi @boalan - thank you for your feedback. If you could post the details of the issues you have had on the forum we'll do our best to get it sorted. We have a massive backlog which you can see here: https://unicenta.atlassian.net/jira/software/c/projects/UOCL/issues/?filter=allissues Not sure if you are aware but we are small business and we're trying our best to get to all the issues.

  • Hola amigos! Estoy iniciando con Unicenta oPos y tengo una necesidad. ¿Alguien me puede ayudar con el código para que en mi ticket agregue e imprima la referencia del producto? Por su atención, gracias.
  • Hello, I want to add another sum that will be in another currency, such as the first sum will be the dollar and the lower value in euros How can I do it and what is code
  • Beware of those reviews. I am sure most of them are biased or manipulated. I regret I trusted them, spend a month trying on this product on my small shop. It gets frozen many times. May be it was done intentionally so that people pay and get recent version. Isn't it copied and modified code over open bravo, isn't it got huge support form community. Then how come it sells the source and try to earn money? If jack was originator and copyright owner of full source code he could ask for money. Now selling code developing by user is just unethical. Stop these crocked business on opensource.

  • I Wish i could Rate this project -100 Stars as Unicenta used Open Source Software and Closed it for payment. GNU General Public License is intended to guarantee your freedom to share and change all versions of a program--to make sure it remains free. This is a typical corrupted government way of doing things like using a tax payers build road and put a toll gate on it to gather money from it. Why did unicenta initiator then not close the source from the beginning? maybe because he needed help from community to build the solution. We should have some group or entity controlling these licenses of projects misusing it.

  • My Favorite Project! Thank you Jack for your wonderful project. I own two stores in NJ area. One of them sells Sandwich and other Pizza. I used open bravo and then Unicenta made me more happy. Its best for Light retail and quick service. For my second store, that has dine in and home delivery, I use Floreant POS. Both use Java and MySQL so they coexists. Thank

  • Tried on 2 pc's the Installation does not run on Windows 10 Fails repeatedly to Java Runtime files. rebooted all programs involved into recommended setup, but it simply doesn't work.
  • I've been using Unicenta since June 2015 and its certainly helped putting the whole venture into its right place. The In's the Out's, the earnings, expenses all of it makes better sense and the value addition to the business is immense. What is also a highlight is the ease or start up time for a new employee to use the system - its simple and easy. One desirable thing would be if the third party updates and mods could be integrated into the mainstream so that updates to later versions would be inclusive as well. There are many apps out there but none that comes close to Unicenta comparing its offerings and ability. Worth the time, effort and money (if you seek support) you send on this software.

  • I am so happy I found oPos. It does everything I need' or think I need, and the support forum is very helpful. I only give 4 stars now as there is no direct Help File of full user manual. Itisi very much a "play and plug" experience. I am not a programmer and some of the available help is a bit obscure. BUT I still say this is a great program and I am very grateful to the programmers and all those who have helped me so far.

  • Unicenta is a complete feature rich multi-platform POS software and it costs nothing. Thanks to Jack Gerard it is free to the community. I am using it for my restaurant in Noosa, Queensland, Australia and saved heaps of money in the process. Jack was very helpful and generous with Unicenta paid support for mini setup issues.

  • It is what you make it - the possibilities are endless! The uniCenta team provide the bones and the community build the flesh. With some basic programming knowledge you can do a lot, with some advanced programming knowledge the oPOS is your oyster!
