A very creditable idea to add a R interface to fannlib, but the one published here being almost five years old is unusable for several reasons: (1) libfann version 2.1 (outdated), (2) the 'configure' script mentioned in inst/README is NOT contained in the tar ball nor is there any Makefile, (3) the downloadable 'documentation' Rfann_cn.pdf is mostly in chinese(?) language. My recommendation to Steffen Nissen: ask the author for an updated(!) and working(1) version or remove it from the list of 'Language Bindings'. FANN, its documention and the web page are fantastic and so there is no need to collect not working pieces of software! Regards, Michael
