    I tried the Live CD due to hard drive space limitations on my laptop. It seemed glitchy, for instance, I was unable to access my hard drive among other things, but I'm hoping this was due to the Live CD. I am going to give it a shot on my desktop later but regardless of whether or not there is a difference I recognize that it is still in early development and I think it is a wonderful project. It may need some work, like all projects/programs/Operating Systems (windows included). Over all, I give this a big thumbs up and see great promise for ReactOS in the future.

    Finally we have a way to study Windows source code. And maybe in future have a windows compatible system without buy a license. Thanks, and still working on it!

    Pointless clone of a rubbish system. Windows is politically, philosophically and TECHNICALLY worse than *nix systems. I tried it out, and I must say I was impressed at how true to life it seemed - but that's not a good thing! I would've preferred it to be based on an NT-compatible kernel but with everything else modern, customizable, everything you'd expect from a Linux distribution really, only based on a different kernel. I don't see why things like the ui, the selection of applications, the directory structure and the infuriating driver installation dialogues have all been cloned. Strip away the rubbish and yes, the NT kernel was Microsoft's best work - but you've piled back on all the rubbish which Microsoft used to ruin NT!

    ReactOS sounds perfect for use in low-budget schools which only need BASIC compatibility with a few word processing and teaching programs
