A) INSTALLATION
Open the disk image (DMG file) and drag the openLCA application icon to your Applications folder.

B) SOFT- AND HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

B1) Software

1: MySQL not blocked by firewall. openLCA uses MySQL as an embedded server. No additional MySQL installation is needed, but start of MySQL (by openLCA) needs to be permitted by the firewall. MySQL does not connect to another computer or the internet, but is only accessed locally be openLCA. This needs to be permitted by the firewall.

2: openLCA needs a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.6 or higher.

B2) Hardware

2 GB of RAM is recommended.
