Welcome to the Open NovaOffice beta. Please note that we misspelled the title on Sourceforge, and, being new to the site, I haven't yet found a way to change the title. This document will walk you through using the beta, and the features of the beta.
Apon opening NovaOffice, you are brought to the task screen. This screen enables you to select which feature you would like to use. To open NovaOffice Word, click where it states "NovaOffice Word", and you will be brought to the word processor. NovaWord is capable (in the beta) of producing TXT documents. In the final release, you will have full RTF control. At the top-left, there are three icons: "New", "Save", and "Load". To create a new document, select "New". IF YOU HAVE WORKED ON A DOCUMENT, AND YOU NEED IT SAVED, MAKE SURE YOU SELECT SAVE. THERE IS NO PROMPT. To save a document you have worked on, select "Save". You a dialoge will be brought up, prompting you to enter the file name and location. Click save apon completion. The last button is load- it's the same as save, only, use it to continue working on the document.
To make your text regular, italicized, bold, or underlined, use the icons becide "Abc". To rid your document of one, selet the button with a line through it. To rid your document of ALL the text effects, press the "Abc" button. To change your working font, select the drop down box beside "Undo". To change the size of your text, select the smaller drop down box beside the "Back to NovaOffice" button. To exit NovaWord, select the "Exit NovaWord" button. MINIMIZE DOES NOT WORK!!!
IN THE BETA, THE MENU DOES NOT WORK. TO CALL THE MENU, PRESS "CTRL" ON YOUR KEYBOARD. TO HIDE IT, PRESS "ESC".
