This community module even seems far more complete (and up-to-date, using annotations) than the example Spring configuration that is available in the Enterprise edition (magnolia-integration-spring).

One of the biggest contributions to Magnolia ever, and extremely useful for all Spring developers that need to combine business logic, data backends and editorial on a site.
