Mackup is a bash script aimed at emulating MacOSX Time Machine. It is extremely useful in association with a Network Storage.
Main features:
- user home backup. Possibility for the user to list the exclusions
- backup rotation, with configurable history (number of backups to keep)
- unlimited types of backup. Just name your backup with a prefix and that's it.
- Shell script - can be setup by the administrator in the crontab for each user.
