Itemizer 0.21 now can save and restore window size and location from one session to another. Also the user can now choose a look and feel by supplying -Dlookandfeel=<classname> on the command line. I haven't tested anything else but Metal L&F so far though so I assume this doesn't work well yet, but maybe in future versions. Besides this, the plugin sources directory structure has changed, and the compile.bat got a few bugfixes. Plugins now can choose wether they feel responsible for a file type not only by file name extension, but also by inspecting the file header or file contents. Plugin selection now implements a "chain of responsibility" pattern, the first IO plugin that matches a file will be used to load this file. To run Itemizer, unzip the itemizer-0_21.zip and execute the start.bat script. If you do not use Windows or if the start script doesn't work, you can try to just double click the itemizer.jar file. If you have java 6 properly installed this should start Itemizer, but it doesn't load the plugins (which at the moment only seems to work with the start.bat script). For more information please check the wiki: http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/itemizer/index.php?title=Main_Page The itemizer-trunk.tar.gz archive contains the sources, plugin sources and example data for this release.
