README for FREDi Release v2.3
===============================

The dmf file supports ALL FREDis, but requires the ATmega328P processor

Update with e.g JMRI - LocoNet Download Firmware feature

If update unsuccessful, retry update, and/or force re-run self-test by keeping E-stop pressed and hold for 10 sec while connecting to LocoNet.
Note: Running self-test will clear assigned loco

Disclaimer: Update goes normally without problems - but you never know... Update always on own risk!

Note: 
 * BREAK-FREDi, when running self-test, must have the break disable switch in OFF position (Break button active), otherwise the Break button not detected.
 * SWD-FREDi, when running self-test, must have the direction invert switch in OFF position (normal direction), otherwise a BREAK-FREDi is detected.
