  • Three great things about it for me. 1: You can share on a local network. That's really handy. 2: My left hand is always on the keyboard ready to hit escape, so the default hotkey combo of Ctrl+` works great for quick pastes and 3: its a small format and you can copy a few things and then paste them in any order you want. The only thing that I find difficult is that I "drop" everything (windows) with an escape (or at least try to), but the 'escape' only drops the window but leaves the app up and not to the system tray. If only... Other than that, a great little tool.
  • This is an essential tool for me.
  • simply the best
  • i cant live without it anymore. thx for the effort
  • After comparing dozens of clipboard tools for Windows, this application suit my needs the most. The UI is minimalistic, highly adjustable, and it looks remarkable with a Dracula theme. Out of all the features, I mostly value the ability to assign keyboard shortcuts for different groups. There still are bugs that I can find, but I am doing my best to report all of them.
  • Awesome, I suggest to the devolpers to make when holding Shift and pressing with the mouse a double click on a clipboard history item, because of the shift, make it paste as plain text, and write this in the info about the program so users know and show a messagebox to those who are already using it.
  • To the developer, I have been using your product for many years. I don't have money to show my appreciation, so I hope that a "thank you" will do. Regards George F.

  • I have been using Ditto for over 10 years. A must have utility for it staff
  • Excellent work, thank you!
  • Amazing software!
  • Excellent little program. I need something simple to manage last copied text and it does a great job.
  • Thank you very much for the free open source program!
  • Brilliant, I use it 20 times a day if not more
  • IT WORKS. It is just so easy. It remembers the clipboard - text, photos, all sorts. I can paste plain text only. It doesn't forget when I restart. I can choose how long to remember and how many clips. I've now set it to be able to copy clips between my computers. I can set clips as favourites, and keep them for occasional use - great for emails.
  • I could not do my work without this great tool. brilliant!
  • Looks promising keep up the good work It is a definitive tool for copy and paste, smartboard is a tool of the past...
  • This is a work of art, I depend on this tool for my daily work and personal use, please continue to support this product and it's a real shame that it's not a built in part of Windows OS.
  • Absolutely invaluable. Very nice tool.
  • The best tool for work. Sadly cant find how to add password protection for Database.
  • Tolles Programm!
  • Easy of install and use.
  • Why Ditto? Well, mainly because if you are the type of person who likes to save comments, twitter posts, or other data via Windows Clipboard, Windows stock Clipboard app does NOT save that data. I think the most is that you can set up Windows to save the last three Clipboard entries (made via pressing the "Control" and letter "C"). A fourth entry will "delete" the first. Enter what I call a Clipboard archiver utility program. (Side note: Ditto is not an "app" - an app is a program made for a cell phone or mobile. Programs are for your computer.) I have used Ditto for years (after a program called Note Frog was no longer working). For those wondering what this is, I would call it a "clipboard saver" or "clipboard archiver" since that's what I mostly use it for. Bottom Line: With a clipboard saver/archiver, whenever I highlight text, links, or graphic images, when I press the "copy" command key on my keyboard (e.g., pressing "control" and letter "C" at same time), the highlighted material is sent to Ditto, which has now been saved and archived in my Ditto folder. I later can access the Ditto archive (aka file or database) to search for whatever I put into Ditto. On finding the material I can then use it for whatever purpose. Backstory: 20 years ago I desired to save and archive posts, comments, data and other information I inputted in forums, comment sections, e-mail content, and even Microsoft Word files. Over the years I have used two programs that provided the features I needed, a program called "Note Frog" and later Ditto. Despite having thousands of "files" accumulated in Note Frog, it stopped working when I got a new PC. Support was lacking on its website, so I went looking for another app, enter Ditto. Why Ditto It is simple really, once you start using a clipboard archive program (which is classed a "Utility" program) you're pretty much stuck having to use that program if you have built up a large database over the years. (For this reason, choose a program wisely. Use a program that has a good founded reputation, stable, and you feel is going to still be supported 10 years.) Warning: IMO Ditto has a moderately difficult learning curve. The program has a LOT of features and settings, which is good thing, but you have to be willing to put some time into learning about the app, its features, and how to use the ones you deem valuable. For example, it is known that hackers/criminals break into computers to access stored passwords or private information such as names, SSN, driver's license information, financial information, etc. Places they search include Windows clipboard, archivers, databases, e-mails, your browser's stored information (passwords, user names, account numbers, addresses, e-mail addresses, etc.) As addition layer of security, you can "right click" your mouse when the cursor hovers over the Ditto icon. A menu will pop up. One of the choices on the menu is "Disconnect from clipboard." What that means, you are telling Ditto NOT to copy and archive whatever information you are about to copy and paste on to a web page form, such as your credit card account number. After you are done with that "confidential" copy and paste, you can again turn on Ditto. Bonus Tip: I additionally tell my (Firefox) browser to NEVER remember or store passwords to banks or other private/confidential websites. Bonus Tip: This comment is a perfect example of where Ditto comes in handy. Let's assume after I am almost done with this comment I highlight, copy, and save it, BEFORE I press the "Submit" icon. If for some reason the page times out, the comment gets lost in the process, or I press "delete" by accident, with Ditto it is no problem, I can recall it from the Ditto archive and have it pasted back into this Write a Review box (field).
  • Can any body tell me how to set up compare function? Alreadly installed WinMerge, but can't find where to set the path, (can't find it in "Options - Quick Paste - Diff Application Path"). --This has been moved in config to Options - General -Advanced - "Diff Aplication Path"
  • Amazing tool, has saved my life plenty of times
  • One of the best software I've discovered. I use it everyday at work and at home and I love it. Thank you very much for taking the time to do it. I really recommend it.
