latest Deepin beige iso is based on deepin 23 beta 3(updated on 2024/03/24) with linux kernel 6.6.7 .
This iso doesn't include installer. Working on this. Created using penguine's egg snapshot.
deepin os preinstalled img.gz (based on debian) snapshot for live usb testing.
old versions snapshot were created using refracta tools.. i removed them from sourceforge.
**>> latest deepin 23 img.gz is img raw image of 15 gb preinstalled disk.
Why disk image instead of iso?
**> to minimize install errors and to test directly.
**> easy for me to just copy my disk.
**> can be flash in usb, so portable full linux system with presistent.

- already installed nvidia drivers..
- Preinstalled disk cloned img was installed on lenovo legion 5 pro ryzen 7 6000 series with nvidia graphics.
- installed intel drivers too.
- after flashing to disk user can directly boot to system . follow readme file on desktop.

It is much improved over the previous beta. Many areas for improvement. Grub was improved. Installation was improved. 1) Need to ask for keyboard layout before asking for password. I work in Quebec, Canada, in English with French keyboard. Difficult to set keyboard layout to Canadian French, while working in English. 2) First user should be #1000, not 1002, Live user should not exist. Need to have user number compatibility with all other distros. 3) Software for corners was removed. This removal makes Deepin less useful than Gnome. The beta after setup required much manual operation to make it compatible with Ubuntu, Fedora, Tumbleweed, Arch. One major annoyance which may also be a security issue. In a multi-boot environment, other partitions are mounted as /media/other_Partition, along with full read/write/visibility. I have other Distros on /nvme0n1 /sda, /sdb, /sdc and /sdd with Deepin installed on first half of sda, my /etc/fstab has defaults,noauto,user for partitions I do not want mounted. Thank you for review. I made this iso with live user so users can test deepin without installing. official deepin iso doesn't provide live testing by default.there are many bugs too. this is beta version so we can hope stable virsion may bring more features and improvements.
