RMIR.v3.0.10-bin.zip is a full installation package for RMIR v3.0.10. This is the first release since v3.0.3 as builds 4-9 were for development purposes only. This build 10 was originally also issued as a development build but is now being officially released without further change. The accompanying folder JP1EEPROMSupport contains a revised version of the instructions.txt file to replace that in the installation zip package. This adds the additional steps required if using the Arduino JP1 interface with Windows 11.

The changes since v3.0.3 are:

1. A new Settings panel for XSight Touch/Color remotes that allows the Language and Region settings to be changed.

2. A new Settings panel for XSight Lite/Plus remotes that allows the Language setting to be changed.

3. A new entry, Set Progress Bar Colors, on the Options menu to customise the colors of progress bars.

4. A new entry, Override Setup Validation, on the Advanced menu which allows a user to override the Setup Validation setting in the RDF (one of Off, Warn, Enable) with a value that will apply to all remotes. Selecting Default, which is the default entry, disables the override and so reverts to the RDF setting.

5. The Instructions in the JP1EEPROMSupport subfolder have been amended concerning connection to the remote, to clarify how to identify pin 1 and how to correct it if the connector is inadvertently connected the wrong way round. There is now also a link to the new Wiki article "Building the Arduino Interface for older remotes".

6. The RDF for the URC-7560 extender, EBX0EBV0 (URC-7560_7562 Extender).rdf, has been revised to support the new instructions for installing the extender with RMIR rather than IR.exe.

This build also fixes a number of obscure bugs that affected particular remotes in specific circumstances.

This build is installed simply by unzipping this package into an empty folder. Please note that for an installation to work correctly, this folder must not be read-only. For a Windows OS this means, in particular, that it should not be unzipped into a subfolder of the Program Files folder. If you want to preserve your settings from a build of RMIR v2.14 or from an earlier build of v3.0 then, after unzipping the package, copy the RemoteMaster.properties file from the installation folder of that version to that of this new version. In this case, however, you will need to use the menu item File > Set Directory to change the locations of the RDF, Images and AddOns folders from being in the old installation folder to the new one.

Note that protocols.ini includes no-repeat versions of certain protocols, primarily intended for use by Slingbox files. Due to the specialized nature of these versions, by default they are not loaded when RM or RMIR is opened. If you need these protocols, check the item "Show Slingbox protocols" in the Options menu of either RMDU or RMIR. These protocols will then be loaded in all subsequent invocations of RMDU and RMIR until this item is specifically unchecked.
