This version of Alpha is in final stage. It is a preview before the final 
release. The application is already fully functional and has proven quite

Once you have downloaded and uncompressed the disk image 'Alpha-9.0rc1.dmg', 
double-click on its icon. Then drag the Alpha icon onto the Applications folder.


The file 'AlphaTools-9.0rc1.zip' contains additional resources: two
command line tools to run Alpha from a terminal window. They are not
strictly necessary and are also included inside the main application
bundle. The checksums for the AlphaTools archive are:
