It uses three Open Source reporting technologies namely BIRT, Jasper, and Pentaho and allows you to use the best of the technologies to create everything from ad-hoc reports to professional dashboards. I have used Active Intelligence in a number of applications across several different industries. From connection to report delivery, the journey is pretty seamless. Even the customer service is second to none. I have used their technical support forum (BI Experts), and have spoken to their Technical Support. They have always been prompt and professional. I have been dealing with BI products for over a decade. I can definitely say that AIS is a refreshing change to the conventional technologies available.
