Insert Hyperlink , <a> tag wizard

The <a> tag inserts a link to a file or to another web page at the cursor in the Editor. For further information and options see <a> tag at W3Schools

If there is text selected in the Editor when opening the wizard then that text will be included in the Link Text edit box. Otherwise type in the link text. Alternatively select the Link Img tab and enter the image file details to have the link shown a clickable image.

  • Link href: Enter the local file name or the full http:// URL of the file/web page to be linked. Use the Paste button to enter this from the Clipboard or browse to Open a File. Note: a local disc file must already be stored in or below your Documents\Websites(my website) folder and uploaded to the web server - see [Add files].
  • Add ID if required. Note: use ID as a replacement for the "name" attribute which has been removed in HTML 5.
  • Class: (optional) Enter the CSS class name where you have already defined a CSS style for your image
  • Style: (optional) Enter a CSS style for your image
  • Other Attributes: (optional) Enter the <a> tag attributes as required. These are ignored unless the href atribute has been set
