Let me announce the release of YAT 2.2.0 which is YAT 2.1.0 (released 2019-10-04) with selected YAT 2.4.0+ backports for users which require YAT to run on .NET 3.5 SP1 (e.g. on Windows Embedded Compact 7).

Let me announce the release of YAT 2.7.2 which features major internal changes as well as fixes a few bugs.

Early use of YAT 2.7.0 has revealed two nasty issues related to view scaling. Thanks to analysis and verification with @alvolturbo and @beni-17 these issues are fixed with YAT 2.7.1, along with few other improvements.

Let me announce the release of YAT 2.7.0. Highlights:
View > Format... now provides a few predefined themes.Reference
An inconvenience (bug #563) got revealed in YAT 2.6.0 and is fixed with YAT 2.6.1, along with few other improvements.
Let me announce the release of YAT 2.6.0, which features a simplified terminal view and a set of various improvements. The view may look unfamiliar at first but the improvement allows more area usable for content; especially noticeable with a workspace containing many terminals.
Taking way longer than expected, interrupted by various unexpected events, YAT 2.5.0 at least made it before the end of 2022. Kind of X-mas present.
Highlight: Rather than highlighting specific features, the highlight is the amount of smaller and bigger changes that resulted in versioning this release 2.5.0 rather than 2.4.2.
For details, see the release notes at https://sourceforge.net/projects/y-a-terminal/files/.

YAT 2.4.1 features some improvements and fixes the issues revealed in YAT 2.4.0.
For details, see the release notes at https://sourceforge.net/projects/y-a-terminal/files/.

Finally, the release of YAT 2.4.0 is complete. Though way later than expected, partly thanks to the recent anomalies, partly due to the refactorings needed for the upcoming scripting feature. On the other hand, YAT 2.4.0 also turned out much more feature rich than initially planned. Highlights:

α-β-γ-δ-ε-Final!
Hoi zäme, users and friends of YAT, almost 20 years after initial ideation (inspired by VersaTerm and good ol' Windows 3.x terminal), 14 years after writing the first pieces of code (in an attempt to get to know the at that time brand new .NET), 10 years after going public (and more than 75'000 downloads since), several ups and downs along the path, it's a great pleasure to announce YAT 2.0 Final!... read more
Being feature complete and approaching YAT 2.0 Final, it's the right time to start using discussion forums for support requests, questions, answers,... instead of contacting project admins directly. Using forums, answers to questions asked can be seen by multiple people. Ideally, answers could even be provided by other users of YAT.
Over the next days/weeks, I will start adding a few selected past questions and support requests that still apply at this state of the project, including the corresponding answers.... read more
Just an epsilon away from 'YAT 2.0 Final' ;-)

The delta towards 'YAT 2.0 Final' is getting smaller, so 'YAT 2.0 Delta' seems to be the appropriate release name ;-)
Highlights:
It's my pleasure to announce the next version of YAT, another major step towards 'YAT 2.0 Final'. The most important changes are:
A few issues related to binary terminals have been reported, here's the fix to these issues:
Important changes:
Fixed bugs:
The simplified deployment, as .msi only, unfortunately is incompatible with Internet Explorer 10 and above. Internet Explorer reports "the signature of this program is corrupt or invalid" even though the signature has been created by the Microsoft Visual Studio Installer... The issue is most likely caused by the Microsoft security update on 2016-01-12 which apparently imposes new requirements for .msi downloads.... read more

Murphy was lingering ;-)
Early uses have revealed a few severe issues related to TCP/IP settings in the previous YAT 2.0 Gamma 1' Version 1.99.33. These issues have been fixed with this release.
In addition, an issue with the upgrade of the local user settings has been fixed.
And, last but not least, users of serial COM ports now have the possibility to better configure the ports in terms of sending:... read more
Another release, much sooner than expected ;-)
Early uses have revealed two severe issues in the previous YAT 2.0 Gamma 1 Version 1.99.32. These issues have been fixed with this release.
It's a pleasure to announce the next version of YAT! This version is another major step towards 'YAT 2.0 Final'. Most important changes are:
'YAT 2.0 Final' will be released once all bugs and feature requests of priority 7 and above have been resolved. This state is expected to be reached by the next or next-next version of YAT, and depends on your feedback as user of YAT. For details regarding the items, see 'Feature Requests' and 'Bugs Reports' at http://sourceforge.net/projects/y-a-terminal/.
I am pleased to announce the next version of YAT. Towards this version, massive refactorings and rather big changes as described under 'Important changes' have been done. After these refactorings, intensive testing was performed. However, there is a certain possibility that the refactorings may have lead to side-effects. The goal of this release is to again verify the stability of YAT. Depending on the findings, another version fixing the findings will be released within the next months.
In parallel, the remaining bugs of priority 5 and above are being fixed, and some minor new features are being added. Once this has been done, another version will be released. I expect that version to be released in spring or early summer of 2013.
This year the 'Samichlaus' is adding a new version of YAT to the piles of peanuts and tangerines! 'YAT 2.0 Beta 4 Candidate 1 Version 1.99.28' has just been released in time for December 6th.
This release adds quite some features to YAT, and a bunch of issues have been fixed. The most noticeable new features are related to serial COM ports as well as command line arguments in order to prepare automated and scripted use of YAT. See the release notes for details on new features, important changes, fixed bugs and known limitations.
The next release is anticipated for H1/2012 and will fix another bunch of issues and again a few new features. Slowly but steadily the number of open issues is decreasing. Once all major issues have been fixed, it will finally be time for 'YAT 2.0 Final'. The effective release time frame for 'YAT 2.0 Final' has not yet been defined and will be dependent on your feedback.
YAT 2.0 Beta 3 Candidate 4 Version 1.99.26 has been released. This release has focused on fixing issues that were reported by the growing YAT community. This release contains no new features. See the release notes for details on important changes, fixed bugs and known limitations. The next release is anticipated for Q4/2011 and will fix another bunch of bugs and limitations and may also contain a few new features. The release time frame for "YAT 2.0 Final" has not yet been defined and will be dependent on your feedback.
Candidate 3 for Beta 3 has been released. This release fixes a few issues that are crucial to tasks ongoing at projects of YAT users. See the release notes for details on new features, important changes, fixed bugs and known limitations.
