An open source software utility that provides a way to convert files into Adobe PDF (portable document format) is now available for download. The software, which has achieved a stable release, is useful for quickly converting plain text files or .DBF database records to PDF format, providing a read-only, cross-platform way to view and print data, according to project leader Vasudev Ram.
