The XML PCB Render project is the beginning of a PCB (printed circuit board) development package aimed at small- to medium-complexity electronic projects. Version beta 1 provides the XML groundwork and a commandline renderer suitable for manually-designed PCBs.

The renderer of beta 1 takes an XML description of a single-layer printed circuit board as input, and produces an image file (in industry-standard PNG format) suitable for printing onto transparency, ready for ultraviolet exposure.
