please follow below step to generate the log:
1. exit XDM if already running. goto File->Exit
2. open cmd
3. in cmd, switch to the installation folder of XDM (c:\program files\XDM or c:\program files (x86)\XDM using dir command
4. type "bin/java" -jar xdman.jar
5. xdm window will open, goto Help->Upate components
6. Post the output of the cmd window here

I cant download xdm additional components. I use Linux Ubuntu...

from 13 feb sourceforge website is partially unavailable because of their migration to new datacenter.
once the functionality is restored component updates should work

There is an ongoing issue with sourceforge. New setup files have been provided now.
Did you tried recently after Feb 19th?
