When unpacking an archive, on pressing of the cancel button, the session crashes and I return to a system login prompt. Using fully updated Debian Jessie.
I actually don't know how to get the backtrace. By the way, I just found that this bugs happends when using the program with the "right click" option.
By "right-click" I mean that xarchiver is the default archiver in Debian, and when doing right click Debian proposes to compress or decompress archives. I tried to reproduce the bug by launching the program from the terminal and there was no bug.
If you can tell me how to get the traceback I'll post it, if not I'd recommend to boot with a Live USB of Debian!

I can't reproduce as I don't have the right click option under Mint Rafaela (yes it's female !) and I don't think there is a way to have the backtrace when using the right click option on the icon or at least I'm not aware of.
Sorry about that.

I can confirm this bug too, I'm having the same problem on Debian jessie when compressing archives and cancelling.

I can't reproduce this bug with 0.5.2svn-r29673 and Mint Rafaela. Would you please send me a backtrace?

Ah "Mint Rafaela", I did a fast reading and I tought you was refering to me (my name is Rafael).
In that case I'll report the bug to Debian, they should know how to handle it. It is a big bug to have everything that crashes!
Thanks for your help!
