WMDB is a PHP application to keep track of your movie collection (DVD, DivX, VCD, etc) by saving all relevant information in a MySQL database. Version 2.0beta4 fixes the IMDB layout change which prevent the application from successfully grab the movies data.

Finally there's a new version coming up: 2.0
Currently it's in beta state. Please test it at your own risk. It should work very well (at least on my system). The documentation is not up to date, but the handling is similar to the older versions.

An option was added in globals.php to display the last x additions (default=10) on the index-page. Two additional theme-colors for list-view, an option in globals.php to force list-mode when displaying the latest additions, and Latest 25 & Latest 50 buttons were added. The 0kb file parse.php was removed. A problem that occured when trying to edit an item with list-mode enabled was fixed.

Changes: A bug in the edit_movie-function call from details-view has been fixed. A randomize feature has been added that allows you to enter any search criteria and receive one random movie that matches that criteria. A tiny statistics page has been added. The DB now always works with browsers that do not support Javascript or have Javascript disabled, no matter whether COVER_WINDOW is set or not. All labels and text are now in a single language file, enabling you to easily translate them into your language.

A security fix was made where in some places the key was unhidden. A bugfix for displaying All Movies was made. The last movie type was missing. The additional get-image in the edit-function was fixed. A bug where covers on IMDB ending with .gif were not recognized as covers was fixed. A bug introduced in 1.35 where year, language, and viewed-status from last added/edited movie was auto-entered in search-boxes was fixed. Year-Search is now more flexible: you can enter "199" to get all movies between "1990" and "1999".

Many bugfixes ! Year-change-bug has been fixed and a new option has been added for those people who have problems with their PHP-Version not getting data from the IMDB.

Wuff's MovieDB is a MySQL-Database with a nice PHP frontend to catalogue DivXs, VCDs, SVCDs, DVDs, movies or anything else you might want to catalogue with cover art. It's based on MovieDB v0.6 by Brian Rhodes. Just like MovieDB, Wuff's MovieDB is easy to setup and to configure.

Changes:
A "Notes" field has been added to the database for special information like "bad sound" or "borrowed/lent." There is a new global variable "ENABLE_NOTES". A bug where the title is screwed up if the IMDB entry contains an additional (V) after the year has been fixed. Now you can disable the covers, so that the movies will be shown in a table list. When clicking on a detail link, the cover will be shown (see globals.php to activate this feature). There is an option to automatically switch from cover to list view if more than xx (definable in globals.php) movies would be shown. The default is 50. The credits have been removed from the detail window.

This release fixes a bug which occurs if a movie-title begins with "The". In the IMDB this part of the title is appended like "Ultimate Movie, The". Wuff's MovieDB database automatically shows the movies as the IMDB does. But searching for a movie doesn't work if the title is saved this way.

This release of the MovieDB fixes some nasty bugs (e.g. the space in the search-box and some error messages when adding a movie and the imdb has no cover) and comes with a new feature: Have the Plot-Outline automatically inserted.

The new version has four more Genres (Documentary, Western, Short and Film-Noir). And I added a new feature: When you add a movie and enter the IMDB-Number, the cover, title, genres and year are automatically inserted. Everything entered in those 4 fields will be ignored. You have to edit the new added movie afterwards to change values which are not correct.

This version changes some bugs in the Database-Structure-File.
