#5 LE: deep copy

The introduction of mutability in LE, makes it
worthwhile to provide some sort of deep copy via a copy
constructor or implementation of Clonable and
overriding clone().

Since the main justification is the need to alter an LE
while preserving the original, it is essential that the
copy is deep and not shallow.
