I used to have the path of the german version of WoW in
my System registry.
Recently I changed the path to the ELP (english Client)
version, because I am writing some programs that need
to work with the version I also play with.
Since that change, wowmodelview isn't displaying
textures anymore. I only see totaly black Chars and
cannot change anything on them.

Interesting. What exactly is ELP- Is it the English European
client ? No idea what would be causing the problem though,
but if you can provide a bit more info on the specifics might
    be able to fix it.

ELP is the Euopean Language Pack version. So if you have a
german client and get pissed off by this horrible
translations they do, you just get the English ELP and have
an English client, but can continue to play on the German
servers (or the UK/France one if you like).

However I found out what the problem was. Seems like the ELP
only "installs" the MPQs, which would change with the new
language and somehow internal link to the other MPQs of the
"old" version. So I just copied every not extisting MPQ file
    from \World of Warcraft\Data to \World of
Warcraft\WoW.enGB\Data and suddenly it worked. That also
solved the Bug with wowmapview crashing, I posted some time ago.

Crashes are now gone, but all the content fixed in patches
is missing (e.g. Since the last patch Blizzard fixed the
problems with the gigh elves not getting animated. but in
    wowmodelview they are still frozen).
