#2240 3-Way File Merge: No Keyboard / hot keys available for Merging from Left Pane to right pane and vice versa

I accidently reported WinMerge version 2.16.14.0 issue on WinMerge 3 page.

I don't think anyone is working on WinMerge 3 right now.

The GitHub WinMerge page reported: Unfortunately, there is no menu item or shortcut key for that function in WinMerge right now.

Is there a fix for my Three-Way Merge concern?

Concerns 1: No Keyboard / hot keys available for Merging from Left Pane to right pane and vice versa

Although there are three panes, user is only able to copy between the adjacent panes.

I am comparing File 1, File 2, and File 3. File 2 is displayed in middle pane. I have to manually copy and past changes that I want to move from File 1 to File 3 or vice versa.

Please help with Hot Keys / Shortcut keys for the same.

Concern 2: When the Left-most pane is selected and user presses ALT+RIGHT, and then CTRL+Z the Middle pane becomes selected.

Please help.

Unfortunately, as answered in https://github.com/WinMerge/winmerge/issues/957#issuecomment-916057048, there is currently no shortcut key for Concern 1.

For Concern2, the focus is moved to indicate the Undoed point, and this behavior seems correct to me.

Unfortunately, WinMerge's current three-way merging capabilities are inferior to other software; please consider kdiff3, p4merge, meld, Visual Studio code, or other free software.
