After a pretty long time (again) wiki2xhtml 3.3 has been released. I’ve rewritten a lot of code, e.g. for images, paragraphs and all kinds of settings, and it works much better there now. New is the support for templates known from the Wikipedia too.
The complete changelog can be found here:
http://wiki2xhtml.sourceforge.net/changelog.html#h_wiki2xhtml3.3
Have fun.

wiki2xhtml 3.3 will be a major release with many changes. Important new features are template handling, a new menu system and the handling of spaces in file paths. Also, a lot of code has been rewritten, so wiki2xhtml 3.3 will work more reliable. The rewritten code runs faster, but all added code made it slower ;)

PS: It can still take one or two months!
Finally, the next release, and the first one which is multi-lingual. RoEn and holzfreak already started the translation into ru and es.
Some new features:
* Long pages can be splitted
* Function to export .bat and .sh scripts
* Documentation re-structurated, Quick References added
* Comment system completely rewritten (arguments --verbose and --dead)
The installer is experimental and not suggested.... read more
wiki2xhtml has two new translators!
holzfreak and the_cobra are now responsible for the translation into spanish and Croatian, respectively. Thanks a lot!

The next version of wiki2xhtml will be truly multilingual. Text can be translated via .po-Files. Thanks to the gettext-commons-project!
wiki2xhtml in version 3.1.0 is now licensed under the LGPL.

Nothing more than that:
Version 3.0.3 (Sa Jul 21 14:38:30 CEST 2007)
Notes:
* Fixed: Paragraphs aren't inserted anymore between the tags pre and code. If you want to prevent the text from being edited generally (e.g. links), use the nowiki-tags too. (Bug #1751697)
Thanks to the unknown person for submitting the bug.

Hi everybody,
I'm in the army for a while, until about end of april. I won't have so much time to work on wiki2xhtml during that time, but I'll stop by from time to time.

wiki2xhtml makes it easy to create good-looking web pages. It is a program for both beginners and pros! The source text, which will be compiled by wiki2xhtml, is being written in the easy-to-learn syntax used in Wikis like the Wikipedia or the WikiBooks (and which is explained in the help file). If you have got higher demands, you can insert your own code or even use PHP. Take a look at the example, use an existing style or create your own!... read more

I didn't manage to use the Gettext Commons for the internationalization, but there are some other changes. The changelog:
Version 2.6 (Fre Mai 18 19:40:57 CEST 2007)
New:
* The menu can contain sub-menus; you can insert them with one or two * at the beginning of the line with the target link (Feature Request #1717610)
* List entries (*, #, :, ;) may have arguments (Feature Request #1718195)
Example: * style="color: #f00;" | red text
Notes:
* Designs updated
* Lists are better looking (indent with spaces) (Feature Request #1651883)
* gif images in the style directory are copied too
* The first {{Language:...}} or {{Lang:...}} is taken, thus further ones don't have to be masqueraded with { (causes a { in HTML). The same for all {{something:text}} tags except AddKeywords and Meta.... read more

I have migrated the CVS repository to Subversion. That e.g. also allows you to watch the statistics! See http://subclipse.tigris.org/ for the Eclipse plugin.
Now wiki2xhtml has got an own web page at http://wiki2xhtml.sourceforge.net/ – it also contains a copy of the docs.

The documentation, which before had to be generated with wiki2xhtml first, is now also availible in a separate package. You can take a look at it if you have problems running the program. In this case, please report your problems here: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=182864&atid=902931
