When using the PPTP to authenticate to the ISP, the
connection never completes.
I see the data being passed to the DSL modem, but it
seems the final steps to setup the interface are never
completed.
I tried to manually do an ./if-up from the /tmp/ppp
directory, but it seemed to have no affect.
I ran syslogd but did not see any indicators of errors
in the /var/log/messages.

does this firmware have syslog feature yet?

I know that the syslogd executable is there and can be
started from the shell. This is how I used it to try and
diagnose the problem above. I telnet'ed to the WRT54G and
then started syslogd. I then did a cat of /var/log/messages.
I don't know if the included syslogd can route its logged
messages somewhere else.

It's not working for me either.
I use 2.02.2.1pre-wfb (dated februari 10, 2004). PPTP is not
working (cannot connect to PPTP server).
When I use 2.00.8.1 pre6-i, everything works fine.
