WebTst "Do You Know ?" available.

"Do You Know" WebTst's site has a "Do You Know" section ? It does, and this is where I will be putting cool stuff that can be done using WebTst. Just to give you a flavor, recent items include, WebTst-Ant integration, using variables from suite runner's command line.

Requests for additions to the "Do You Know" section always welcome!

WebTst 0.9.3 is released!

WebTst 0.9.3 has been released. This is a major bug fixing release and upgrading is highly recommended for existing users. Fixes include:

*) Support for XML::Dumper 0.4 (backwards compatibility)
and above.
*) Major fixes to handling of interceptor responses
(content transfer chunking, status 100 responses)
*) Rework of post body content storage to allow for binary data types.
*) Rework of dashboard interface to allow downloading/viewing of post bodies.
*) Fix https url capture to properly capture hostnames.
*) Minor fix to playback_results directory location when running multiple recordings via suiteRunner.pl

WebTst 0.9.2 is released!

WebTst 0.9.2 has been released. This release is a collection of small bug fixes and enhancements. It does contain however a fix to one annoying bug in the interceptor process that was causing the generation of zombie processes and eventually crash of interceptor. Recommended update because of this last fix.

WebTst 0.9.1 is released

Providing important fixes to the interceptor component and small fixes to other components. Users of WebTst are encoraged to upgrade to this bug fix version.

WebTst is a perl/Apache Web development test infrastructure.Implements a proxy which records testers actions (http, https),replaying them during testing.Supports digital certificates,concurrency testing,pre-built tests,test suites for regression testing.

WebTst required packages CVS tree added

Aimed at simplifying the installation of WebTst, you can now find WebTst's required packages under CVS tree webtst_packages. These have been added to allow a user to checkout the packages from CVS. Tagging allows to keep in synch WebTst's sources with required packages.
You should be able to find in there all packages you need to get up and running with WebTst.

WebTst 0.8 is released

Now on sourceforge.net, As of version 0.8, WebTst Supports the concept of
results analysers via plug-in approach of placing
perl packages into custom results analyser directories
following established API. Added support of three
out-of-the-box results analysers: XML dump,
process/time/step line graphic, process/time/step bar graphic.
Improved overall intercepting performance.
Added favicon support. Small bug fixes added.

WebTst now on Sourceforge

It looks like with Sourceforge, WebTst development will finally be able to find a more permanent home. Until now, it has lived in my own servers (not guaranteed at all to be 24x7) and been broadcast via freshmeat. It looks like the fun is about to start... :-)

Manual and demo of WebTst available

The manual and demo of WebTst can be accessed online via http://webtst.assisrosa.com/ . Work will be put in the future to allow for documentation to reside in sourceforge as well.
