support for serverside on Mac OS X (Jaguar only) is now in CVS and will be in the next release. see the FAQ entry for more info.
i just committed the initial checkin of the java client to CVS. as of the now it's only in the cvs version of the tar file (no releases, yet). it works as an applet or a stand-alone application and requires updates to the server so update as a package. read README.JAVA and java/KNOWNBUGS and i would love feedback.
just a quick note, i'm not going to release for several weeks, but i just checked a playlist editor into CVS and since i've been talking to several people about it i thought there might be some interest. goto the homepage, and d/l webplay-cvs.tar.gz. trust me. ;-) the editor allows you to delete & add songs to a playlist, rearrange & even combine playlists.
there's a new release, but unfortunately i can't get the file released. to download it, check the anonymous ftp here, or the alternate site from the homepage. it's fairly small, two bugfixes. one is nice, tho - it fixes the up and down arrows in IE5 and stays highlighted in all cases.
ALSO -- the next thing i'm going to add is support for building the current html/javascript page from (probably) a mysql database of 3 tables (artist, album, song). interested? ideas? feedback?... read more
