My webplan instance had troubles with the mysql interface, the database connection was not very stable. Maybe this was caused by the 800 users accessing the application. Now the webplan can be used with mysql, oracle or (after minor changes to the code) with any other database.

The webplan was a project which started in august 1997. A shift planning tool for the web was required, but I could not find any suitable tool.
So I started from scratch with perl. In march 2001I rewrote the webplan in PHP and stored the data in mysql, which made a huge boost in performance. This was released as version 0.02 beta. Now after some minor modifications the webplan was released as open source. The initial public release is version 0.03 beta.
