#5 sent messages are sent twice sometimes

on a seriously slow connection (i'm on a navy ship,
bandwidth is extremely limited), sometimes messages
that i send get sent twice. i dont click send twice, it
just happens, and not necessarily right away.
sometimes it takes a minute for the second copy to
show up.
