#84 WebCAT freezing during initialization
I've been running my own server of Web-CAT for years and never had any significant problems. This past week (April 18-23, 2011) WebCAT stopped working. When I restarted the tomcat server, things seemed to progress along smoothly until it hangs when at a particular point when starting the WebCAT webapp. Below, I have pasted the stdout listing from tomcat. It hangs at the same point every time. I have tried numerous fixes: 1) power-cycling the computer to free any ports that might be blocked, 2) re-installing Web-CAT from the .war file, 3) reinstalling tomcat, 4) reinstalling mysql, 5) turning off all firewalls and virus checkers, 6) Using System Restore to revert my Windows XP box back to the state before April 18, and 7) deleting the old WebCAT database files. No matter what I do, it hangs at the same point. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.
