Kernel leap second bug (2012-07-01)

w1retap was a victim of the infamous kernel leap second bug, resulting in a failure to read sensors reliably. It was a pretty canonical example (w1retap uses clock_nanosleep with CLOCK_REALTIME, TIMER_ABSTIME).
It is easily resolved, either with a date command

date -s "$(date)"

or by rebooting the system.
