Version 11.0 of the VuFind® Open Source discovery software has just been released. This major release includes several significant new features, many smaller improvements and fixes, and important infrastructural improvements to ensure the long-term compatibility and maintainability of the software.
Some key additions and changes:
New self-service features for users: online payment of fines, and review and management of comments, ratings and tags.
New optional third-party service integrations: Cloudflare Turnstile, ProQuest Federated Search Gateway and Zotero Web Library.
A redesigned and improved “Channels” feature to drive serendipitous discovery.
A streamlined, more flexible, and more consistent upgrade experience.
Completely modernized (using Doctrine) database code.
Audit event logging support.
API key support for built-in APIs.
Improved compatibility with PHP 8.4.
