Violet UML Editor Plugin for Eclipse / News: Recent posts

The project has been merged with the original one (Violet by Cay Horstmann). So, update your bookmark : new url is http://violet.sourceforge.net

Violet 0.20.0 is ready!. This is a major release. Now compliant with Eclipse 3.2, it also supports new features like undo/redo and printing. The user interface was completely changed to let more drawing space. Translation is enabled. So, Violet is already in french.

Violet 0.20.0 is not yet avaliable. I am working on some "last minute" improvements. If you are impatient, I added a screenshot of this release.

A new release of the plugin will come soon. It will be based on Eclipse 3.2 and will include several improvements. Keep looking on Sourceforge and EclipsePluginCentral web site.

This release contains the following changes :
+ avoid SWT Exceptions raised on diagram changes
+ introduce new zoom levels
+ correct drawing errors on diagrams link icon
+ store URLs instead of file path in diagrams links
+ embed new Violet 0.17a (that contains changes written previously and some other technical changes)
+ improve diagram change detection
+ improve drag'n drop by unselecting all items on the current diagram
+ tested on Linux Knoppix 4.0.2 and Sun Java Virtual Machine 1.5.04
+ add Cay S. Horstmann in the plugin authors list
+ packaged as a zip archive since severals users told me that they had problems with the jar file in previous releases
