I have a GX Loader on our Wii and one day this error code with a black screen appeared. I have searched and haven't found any solutions, so I am hoping that someone here can help me. I am not very computer literate and I am not sure who set up the Wii for my kids. It isn't connected to the internet and no updates to my knowledge have been done. The last game that they were playing was Sky Landers if that helps.
When I go to the GX Loader on the main Wii screen it doesn't load. It just gives the attached black screen with a lot of numbers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I apologize for the photo quality. It is hard to see on the screen.

When you post this screens, we need the exact version and revision number of the loader you are using. without that information we can't debug it.

If it occurs on launch, you could try few things:

1- It could be the settings:
Delete the config files located in apps/usbloader_gx/ or in /config/ folder on your SD card or USB. (depends where you save the settings).
If you don't want to loose every settings, make a backup first.
USBloaderGX will re-create the settings files automatically with default settings.

2- It could be the files loaded by the loader:
Delete or rename the Images folder and launch the loader again. if it works, then one of the cover is corrupted. try to display each covers on your computer to find the culprit.

Do the same with the themes folder if you were using a custom theme.

3- It could be the loader's executable itself which is corrupted:
replace the apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol with a clean boot.dol file (you can find one in the download tab on this website, or in the [BETA] issue thread at the top of the issue page. Latest revision is [r1209])

    Note:
If you are launching the loader from a Channel installed on your Wii, try launching the loader from the homebrew channel instead.

4- on a rare case, it could be your HDD. but try the suggestion above first.

Thanks very much Managaheart. I'll try to locate the version of the loader and revision number. I am going to be trying steps 1-3 out today. I'll post with the results later tonight. Again I thank you.

This is the latest beta available to public ([r1209]).
Extract the boot.dol located in the IOS249 folder, and place it in your SD:/apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol (replace the old one with the new one).

If you don't use SD card, then put it on USB instead. (usb:/apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol)

Launch the loader from the Homebrew Channel to be sure that you are launching the correct version. If you launch from the channel, you could still use the old version intalled on your Wii. (there are two different channel type : full or forwarder. The full installs the loader on Wii, the Forwarder launch the boot.dol on your SD card)

Thank you. I have done this and have gotten past the error code screen. It is almost there. The screen now says "failed loading any cIOS. USB Laoder GX requires at least cIOS 222 or 245-250 to work properly."
It then says press b to continue  and it loads the main Wii menu up in the USB.
Both ways of loading the USB have given me this screen...Homebrew and main screen.
Everything is backed up since it's not saved on an SD card.

This is strange that USBLoaderGX doesn't find your IOS, especially if you didn't change anything on your Wii before getting this error.

Did you try to delete or reset the config?
Maybe your config file is corrupted.
Just put the boot.Dol into an empty apps/usbloader_gx/ folder on your SD card and let the loader re-configure everything. See if it works fine or if you still have a problem.

If the cIOS message persists, could you try to re-softmod your Wii? use modmii and tell the program you want to re-softmod or that your Wii is virgin, it will download all you need to softmod it again correctly and it will update the IOS version when needed.

If you know how to install IOS yourself, don't use modmii and only install d2x cIOS v8 or v10 with base56 on slot249 and base57 in slot 250.

I have moved the boot.dol file and it just brings me back to the main Wii screen. Not really sure how to re-config it, but I will be trying to do it tomorrow. Since I do have games on there, will I loose everything if I do that? Or brick the Wii?
Also, I have the cIOS222 v4 Installer under my apps so I'm not sure why it says it isn't found.
Again, thank you very much for all the help you have done so far.
