I had this problem as well with RSTE64, Star Wars: Force Unleashed. It turns out that Windows rounded down when calculating the file size, and it was actually larger than the FAT32 4gb limit. I just formatted the drive to NTFS. You can do that in windows by going to "this pc" and right-clicking the drive, then selecting format, and format it to .ntfs. Just make sure you move all your files out before you do that because formatting will erase all the data on the drive. As for the file directory, one...

I have the same issue but it crashes no matter what settings are enabled. I looked at how to solve this but all of the problems were solved on older versions of USB loader gx. However, one thing I would suggest is that your tv/display device cannot properly function the set resolution so it will try to process whatever game you're playing and it will just crash by questioning what resolution it is trying to be.

  • DDinghoya DDinghoya posted a comment on ticket #2345

If you selected english, don't output text on USB Loader GX.... I can't tell you exactly, but isn't it a matter of configuration? Not Wii... I asked cyan06 for this issue on GBAtemp. He did not know the reason. Anyway, r1260 is no problem for korean text's output. The choice of r1272 is also not too bad except for the problem I mentioned. Even if Korean is selected, if "" is set, "Settings" and "Start" should be displayed in English.

  • Matthew Matthew modified a comment on ticket #2345

So, changed blank("") msgid "Start" msgstr "시작" --> Korean, but not apply and output blank on button. So, changed blank("")

One more update. Using the flash drive was still giving me weird problems including USB LoaderGX sometimes not being able to run at all. I switched to using an external harddrive and everything is working as expected. I've been playing games off of my external harddrive for 5 days now without any issues. So I guess the conclusion is to use external harddrives instead of flash drives.

Just an update on this issue. I was able to play my games again after reformatting my usb flash drive to FAT32 again on a Windows machine and copying over the games. Formatting to FAT32 on a Mac didn't work, as homebrew channel couldn't even see my USBLoaderGX app, let alone see my games. I'm not sure why but it seems Mac formats FAT32 differently than Windows? This still doesn't explain why all of a sudden USBLoaderGX couldn't load my games, but at least there seems to be a workaround (reformat...

No, but as the bug doesn't interfere with the ability to play games, I haven't been overly concerned with it. Given that Revision 1268 is pretty darned stable (and knowing that I don't play my old Wii games very much these days), I haven't bothered with testing newer releases. Hopefully the devs will address it eventually. But if not, I'm still appreciative to them for not having to dig through boxes in the attic for my game CD's. 🙂

+1 SD cards are pretty cheap. I recently got a 512gb SD for my wii for well below $100 for this only to realize USB Loader GX doesn't boot Wii games from SD. Quite a surpise since it works with GC. I was hoping to declutter and get rid of the USB drive. I really don't like the interfaces of other loaders so I guess I'll stick with the USB drive. What's the chance on this ever getting implemented?
