I have installed version 2.0 on my linux devices, and it does not like to communicate with version 0.2 of the windows client side. I get the following error on the linux side from usbipd: "usbip: error: USBIP Kernel and tool version mismatch: 262 273:". So a version 2.0 would be appreciated, thank you.

Hello. Do you know if there is an Android app that acts as an USP/IP client for Android for which there is also the USB/IP server that can be installed on Linux ? What I want to do is export an USB device from Linux and import it within Android 7.1.1. Basically I want to use the exported USB device which is connected to my mouse and keyboard in Linux to move my mouse inside the Desktop Environment of Android that I have virtualized with bhyve on FreeBSD. Very thanks.

Hi all. I'm trying to configure usbip. Server installed CentOS 7 yum install kmod-usbip yum install usbip-utils then launched the kernel modules: modprobe usbip-core modprobe usbip-host modprobe vhci-hcd then started the server usbipd -D Next I do usbip bind -b When executing the usbip port command, it gives an error. Error on the screen. There are also problems with the client. But I think if you solve the problem on the server, the error will go away on the client.

I have successfully installed the USBIP server on a Raspberry 4. Now I have successfully connected the device on a Linux Mint system, but I cannot see it in the system. It is a USB stick. I can also see it in dmesg, and it is also listed under lsusb -l. But how can I access it? See at the Screenshot

Hi, I am trying to access Windows 10 with Yubikey 5 NFC from Ubuntu 18.04.1(5.4.0-1122-azure) hosted on Azure. Ubuntu has usbip installed by default (usbip-utils 2.0) and Windows has 4.0.0 version installed. I am attempting to update a Qualcomm based embedded module. When running directly on the host it is able to write the firmware successfully however when binding with USB IP and attaching to another host I cannot successfully update the firmware. I collected some usb protocol logs of both senarios and from the logs I can see it is failing at Buik in where without USB IP it completes that correctly. These logs are attached as images. I have a device connected to a USB HUB on a raspberrypi, and it's used for updating firmware on embedded devices. To do this it disconnects and reconnects to USB when it switches between 2 different modes. For remote clients, this is painful because it means attaching/detaching when this is done programmatically by the device and debugging toolchains which look at (scan?) the USB hub for changes. So, from what I can gather, for a windows server, I need to use USB/IP for Windows (https://github.com/cezanne/usbip-win), correct? Then, for a linux side client, I need to use usbip-0.1.7.tar.gz (https://sourceforge.net/projects/usbip/files/usbip/0.1.7/usbip-0.1.7.tar.gz/download). Is that correct? I recently installed usbip on local PC (ubuntu 20.04) and usbip on vps Ubuntu 22.04. It's OK. My problem is that if I connect from vps ubuntu 22.04 client usbip to ubuntu 20.04 local pc server, webcam lamp is on and turned on, but server didn't capture any video frame. I don't know if the self problem is capture or not send anything to client or client doesn't receive video frame... How can I know that? in obs I see ony black screen with webcam turned on.

I have a Windows host system with USBIPD installed. I can see the list of USB devices (usbipd list) and I was able to bind one of the devices such that the status now shoes "Shared". This same system has Hyper-V installed and a Debian 11 virtual machine running. I have installed usbip on that Debian system and I am able to list the remote host devices where I see the one shared device. The usbip-win project has added this and its super useful. Obviously we can 'script' this but for many users it is overly complex and is a common action so why not just simplify the UX. I've been using usbip to scan for a long time. The server is a Raspberry Pi, a Model B I think (old!) with Raspbian Bullseye. The client is a laptop running Debian 11 Bullseye. It may have been when I updated the client from 10 Buster to 11 Bullseye that usbip stopped working. (I had updated the Pi a few months earlier.) lsmod on the R. We are trying to interface The Neural Compute Stick 2 (a USB stick from Intel) with I.MX8, but it fails during test. This device hosts a MyriadX which is a co-processor for neural network acceleration. the USBIP attach is OK and I can see the USB device through lsusb. hmm if it doesn't show up in host view I don't believe its able to find the device through a broadcast UDP datagram, you will just have to bind the device in raw call, if your a programmer and willing to figure it out the help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes seem it SEGV faulted raspberry pi 1 - A, B, zero, and zero w are armel, raspberry pi 2 - is armhf raspberry pi 3/4 - is arm64 which one do you have and which copy of the software did you install, gotta make sure you installed the correct package for the correct CPU.

Oh you have an armel raspberry pi (rpi 1, zero, zero w) , I don't believe I offered an armel package only an armhf package (rpi 2) on github and so it seg faulted. I can make one and upload it.

You should probably make sure that the two are on the same network, otherwise you may need to figure out the ip address of the raspberry pi and see if you can ping it from the ubuntu device.

I would love to help, so I would say first part is to check if the service is running on the raspberry pi systemctl status qusbipserver should see if its running, if it is not running than systemctl start qusbipserver then on the ubuntu machine open up qusbip and it should ask for permissions necessary to bind devices, after that open up the "raw call" tab on the window and type in the host "raspberrypi" in the host section and click the button that is "list remote by host", in the little monitor...

When the USBIP server and USBIP client are on same network (LAN), it works without any issues (receipt is printed). Hi all, In these difficult times we are all looking for solutions to help us work remotely. I work for a technology company supporting the labs of a mobile telecom provider and we need to be able to operate mobile phones remotely. Hi, I am interested to flash a NVidia Jetson board from a virtual machine EC2 on Amazon with USBIP. Up to now it doesn't work, but from a virtual machine such as Virtual Box it works well. So, I suppose it could be something related to the interface that USBIP has with the operating system (ioctl maybe ?). Which is the part that you recommend to debug and to fix ?
