I satisfied the compiler.h with this:

sudo ln -s /usr/src/kernels/2.6.35.13-92.fc14.i686/include/linux/compiler.h /usr/include/linux/compiler.h

but now get

xmltv.c:121:3: error: conflicting types for ‘locale_t’
/usr/include/xlocale.h:43:20: note: previous declaration of ‘locale_t’ was here
