First, I love tvtime. It is by far the best tv app for Linux! The problem I see is that when I shut down tvtime, it doesn't stop sending the sound. I still get the audio from the last channel I watched. I have to reboot to get rid of it. I am using Ubuntu with the 2.6.15-28-amd64-generic kernel. My tv card data is shown below.

I have the same problem. To work around it I wrote a wrapper script that, among other things, runs "amixer -q set Line unmute" before starting tvtime and "amixer -q set Line mute" when tvtime exits.
