I noticed that TuxGuitar 1.5.4 cuts some bars at the right side, but the existing horizontal scroll bar is not working (does not react). My system: Mint Linux 19.2, Kernel 5.6.x.
I,m on Ubuntu 18,04 and have a similar problem. I sometimes find zooming in and out brings the scroll bar on the right back and fits the score to the available window but not very frequently.

Meanwhile, using Tux Guitar 1.5.5 (on Mint 20.3), the problem seems to have gone. Now, when resizing horizontally, the horizontal scrollbar just expands or shrinks to the window size. The layout of the music note bars just wrap or expand as need by the window size.
So, for me, the problem I reported, disappeared this way...

Not sure if this is related. But I keep getting these messages in the console:
My scroll bars are there,
running TuxGuitar 1.5.5 on Debian Buster,
Kernel 4.19.0-18-amd64,
only ui-toolkit-swt present.
