I have been using the TP fan controller on my T60p for years, and I want to install it on the T61 running Win 7 64bit, which I just bought on Ebay. So I downloaded the file on Sourceforge and extracted it. But I can't find a Setup exe or any other way to install it. I was therefore hoping that someone here can tell how to do that. Thanx vey much in advance. Steve BTW, as
It still works on my T440P and a G7 7588 in 2024. BUT i wonder if possible to start in smart mode 2 instead smart mode 1.. and increase smart mode 1 temp x speed because in 47-50 degrees celcius still 0 fan. so i always change to smart mode 2 all time. and an option to start with windows is also a benefit. can someone do an *.ini file to do that?

I wonder what else do you want? It worked before, it still works now (at least on Windows 10 it does). Are you missing some functionality?

Hi, this software is still working after 7 years of his last beta. Did the programmers done something else? I would give some money for a newer application!

Hello, I've been using tpfancontrol for a while now, but since yesterday my bus temperature seems to be stuck at 89C constantly, while my CPU temperature seems to be normal. This causes the smart mode to freak out about it constantly, while my standard BIOS mode responds the way it usually would have. Because of this i had to exclude the bus temperature in the ini file for now as a workaround. What could be the reason for this? Is my hardware broken or is this a bug? My laptop model is a Lenovo Thinkpad...
I have the same problem on ltsc 1809 w10 with a L390 with tpfancontrol 0.62L. I use the verifier method because the computer freezes but I do not think it ocmes from tpfancontrol since there is no bug from the software itself.
Del del del I missed the app.
I don't understand how it works and if it is compatible with R60 at all. You see there are 5 positions for the fan, I can set it on the first one and it will turn off cooler, and if a set anything else it will just enable it back and speed will be controlled by the system, not the app, so right position won't maximize it.
Where do I find the version 0.90 file? The downloads page still points to version 0.61
Sorry for the double post, but it seemed more relevant to add to my OP than to edit it: there's something wrong with fan speed readings in the main window. In manual mode, level 7 says the fan (there's only one on my laptop) runs at app. 425 rpm, and it's quite audible. In Smart Mode 1, level 6 is supposed to run the fan at almost 700 rpm, and I can barely hear it? Can someone explain how exactly fan speeds are determined relative to the levels?
Hi everyone, I recently installed TPF on my Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 15 sporting a Pentium P6100 CPU, and it works OK. I have a question, though: TPF comes with built-in levels for fan speeds, from 0 (fan not turning) to 128 (?), where the fan runs full speed and makes my laptop sound like Concorde on take-off. I've already modified the .ini file to set fan level at level 6 for all temperature brackets on Smart Mode 1, because it's more silent that way. At fan level 6, the PC is almost silent, but the...
would thinkpad fan controller work with lenovo ideapad notebook ? has anybody tried on non thinkpad ?
Hi troubadix, I am sorry to contact you this way as I am not able to find your email....

Hi, This might be bad manners or plain wrong, so I apologize, but I've found no better...
