New Wordpress "Tournament" Plugin project

I'm working on a new project for a site I'm a part of: it's a Wordpress plugin called "MMC Tournament" - the idea is to provide a way for people to put things like single-elimination tournaments (and other tournament formats) on their site, handle update and display, including links to the entries in the proper contexts.

The way we use the plugin on MMC is probably a bit different from how other people will be using it: our site is a model contest site, so the "competitors" in the tournament are models, and match winners are determined by judges. This overall format is reflected in the general structure of the plugin. I do think it's possible someone else will find the plugin useful in the future, however...

RogueBomber is where it's at

Hi,

Currently I'm not actively working on the projects stored undert this project ID. I will return to this project as well as the others I've registered at Sourceforge, and continue to maintain the tetsujin project on Sourceforge as the central point for my different projects. However, right now what I'm working on most is RogueBomber, located at http://www.sf.net/projects/palmbomb/ - it's an implementation of Bomberman I'm working on.

CVS working again

CVS is working again, so the last obstacle to the continuation of the project has been removed.

I have a few programs I'm working on now: games mainly. Once those reach stable condition I hope to add some long-delayed renovation to AppView and DTV. Work on the grayscale code may or may not proceed: Bringing ScreenApp and bpp-hack to a higher level of sophistication may be useful for those of us who like running 4bpp modes on gray devices.

This just in: CVS still broken

As a result of a lack of any recent changes, CVS still doesn't work, thus halting any progress in the affected projects. Developers were quoted as saying that the problem "totally sucks ass" and that it is "a major fscking pain".

CVS failure

Well, it's been a long time, but I've decided to take time out of my busy schedule and work on my personal projects again...

But guess what, Sourceforge CVS is broken, it won't accept my authentication, so I'm stuck working off-line until it's fixed.

Them's the breaks.

Screen Mode Hack and other new stuff

New this week on Tetsujin's PalmOS Development:
- ScreenModeHack, intended as the comprehensive replacement for ScreenApp, which allows per-application configuration of preferred screen bit depth. The current version does not alter the default depth, and while it does check its database of application preferences, it currently lacks code to -edit- it.

Coming soon:
- More progress in the Bitmap Editor widget
- Fixes to known bugs in AppView
- More work in DTV

PalmOS Bitmap Widget now available!

After a long development lull, Tetsujin's PalmOS Bitmap Editor widget is now functional and available here on sourceforge. The BmpEd widget allows PalmOS programmers to quickly and easily incorporate simple image editing facilities into their programs, and is suitable for use in icon and resource editors, drawing programs, and the like.

Current features
- Edit PalmOS 2.0-style, 1 bit per pixel uncompressed bitmaps in dynamic memory.
- Self-contained design allows the BmpEd module to be incorporated into projects with a minimum of effort.
- Support functions for bitmap access, zoom setting, and scrollbar interaction.... read more

PalmOS 3.0 grayscale support module released

New this week in Tetsujin's PalmOS Dev; the GrayScale tree of modules. These modules are designed to enable users of PalmOS 3.0 and higher to access the grayscale features of their devices, and to help developers to support grayscale properly in their applications. Current submodules include:

- ScreenApp: A simple application which lists the available display modes for the device, and allows the user to select which mode to use by default.
- BMF Hack: A Hackmaster hack designed to add support for Bitmap Families to the WinDrawBitmap() systrap. As it turns out, the trap already supports Bitmap Families, so BMF hack is unnecessary.
- ppmtoTbmp: patches to Ian Goldberg's ppmtoTbmp utility to support generation of 4bpp bitmaps and to set the "nextDepthOffset" bitmap field needed for bitmap families.... read more

Moving in

For those who don't know, this project, along with the closely related projects AppView and DTV, recently moved here to SourceForge from another similar service called XNot. Unfortunately, the owner of XNot couldn't justify keeping his site up with little growth and inadequate revenue, so all the hosted projects have had to move elsewhere.

This area, "Tetsujin's PalmOS Development" will serve much the same role as it did on XNot: it will act as my personal development zone for code snippets and libraries for PalmOS, and for the earliest stages of development of projects which might later warrant separate project space. Additionally, since my applications are now stored in dedicated project areas, this area will be a starting point for access to my other projects and other related information.... read more
