This is the first beta release of Taxy. It includes the following new features:

- New NCBI species taxonomy plugin. This is an optimization in memory space compared to the original 1.0.1 plugin.
- Improved interactivity: use of threads during plugin connection and taxa searches. This keeps the UI responsive to user clics and allows to disconnect from slow connections and and re-send new searches.... read more

This is the last alpha release before going into beta.
Full compatibility with JRE 5.0 should now be achieved.
Some jar files which are not needed for JRE 6.0 have been included and BrowserLauncher2 is now used for opening HTTP links.

Some important improvements on the display of elements properties has been implemented. Medatadata values can now be copy&pasted.
Some other minor cosmetic changes have been added.
