I just found that if first install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86 or x64) and then you copy mfc140u.dll from "C:\Windows\System32" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Switch Miner\sm" the application will then launch. Good luck.
mfc140u.dll missing
SNMP QUERY A RANGE OF IP
SWITCH MAKE/MODEL IN REPORT
I should note that the file is there, so it's not missing
mfc140u.dll
Should be fixed in the 4.21 release, just posted.
CAT 9300 and 2960C do not display results
Should be fixed in V4.21 just released.

One other note the 2960C-8PC-L running IOS 15.0(2).SE works, but IOS 15.2(2).E6 fails.
Sorry it has taken so long to get this info.... From the switch, with debug snmp packets running, I can see it pull and get a NULL value. Following, as I have same issue. Tried several cisco switches, starts to run then just closes. Looking at logs, I also see lots of these: Error Invalid UTF-8 sequence found in input string. Happy to provide more logs if useful.
Hey Christian, can you do these with a debug running? Go to View->Debug Options and select analysis engine, snmp and snmp OID. Once it finishes you will have a log file in your %APPDATA% folder in the directory switch miner called sm.log. If you could email me the log file. Hello Billy Problem solved! Thank you! There was a "@" in the community string. Now it works well on all Switches again! Hey Peter, i looked at the log. Do you use the same community string across all your devices? It appears you may have an @ symbol in your community string. The way SNMP v2 works is to get the mac addresses of a specific VLAN you add a @<vlan num=""> to the community. So to get the MAC's from VLAN 1 you would send mycommunity@1. If you have an @ in the community like my@community@1 that may be causing the failure, if this same community works with other devices its possible it's something specific...
Hi Billy Thank you for the Message! And sorry for delay. We had Carneval 8-) We use snmp v2. Privilege Level 15. The sm.log is attacht. I hope the log helps us to find the error. Hey Peter, if you could do a debug of that. In the GUI version go to view->debug options and the select snmp. Run it again and let it fail. Look in the %APPDATA% folder and there will be a folder named switch miner it should have a file sm.log. Can you send that to me? Also what type of SNMP are you using, is it v2 or v3? If v3 what priv level and protocols are you using? On Fri, Feb 21, 2020 at 4:07 AM Peter Spichtig spi314@users.sourceforge.net wrote: Hello I`ve tried to collect Data from a C9300....

Hey Justin, if you do a search in the PC's registry for switch miner and delete the occurrences you find it will reset the GUI back. Will have to look to see why that happened. Hi there! I'm hoping you still maintain this. I'm running into this issue as well. I've tried using older command line versions as well and I'm still encountering issues. Were you ever able to resolve this or make headway? I'd like to start using the app a bit more for initial network discoveries, as well as recommend it to others, but with it crashing while scanning it's a bit hard to do. Thank you!
Add SNMP v3 please!!

It seems I have an issue when I put multiple switches. I've attached the error that I get.
Yes -f in the command line version is read from a file. You can do the same thing in the GUI version by putting multiple devices in the switch or router box seperated by a comma, So if you have three switches you wanted to capture you would put switch1, switch2, switch2 in the switch box.
