Wow, looks like a few (well a very few) people have started looking at this. Thanks for anyone giving this a try (especially Dominik over in Germany), I hope it works and if not fire me an email at [david dot g dot levy at gmail dot com] and I'll try get to it sometime over the holiday break - in theory the holidays is the best time to work on this since I have more free time, but with the summer heat down in Australia and no air conditioning it makes me want to distance myself from my furnace of a desktop. Found some bugs when anonymous beans are mixed with factory instantiation. Also have fixed up Java 1.4.2 compatibility issues.

Well it's been a while since I've updated the project. So long in fact that I'd almost forgotten one of the reasons why this project is more complicated then I'd like: Any GWT widget defined in a Spring context cannot be instantiated outside the container. This means that the simulated context load I've created cannot instantiate any of the beans, and all sorts of nasty internal workarounds have to be created. Hi Everyone,

Well starting this project was a bit of a time crush for me. I have been painfully aware that a tool like this would benefit the GWT (and my own) development, but I've also been juggling deadlines. Having a project manager who's more a .NET guy, it's pretty hard to convince him of the need for something like this. Maybe one day if this project has a ridiculous number of downloads I can show him and he'll understand. Then again, it will be a pretty good testiment to the site documentation if he can look at it and understand why I've done this.... read more
